85 5000 reality check...

Hi there all-

I've got an '85 5000S (non-quattro) that needs alot of work, so
I'm looking for suggestions as to repairing the beast vs. replacing
it. It's got 135K miles. 

>From what I can tell it needs a new PS rack, PS pump, brakes all around,
new drivers window regulator, radiator fan resistor pack, heater control 
valve, front exhaust pipe, and possibly a heater core.

The most pressing repair (the PS rack and pump) is also the most 
expensive, so I'm trying to decide on the best course of action.

Any comments/suggestions are most welcome-
