Having had a loaner V8 while waiting 3 months for my special order S4 to arrive, I got a good look at both of them. I prefer the S4, the suspension just feels tighter and more 'Germanic'. The V8 would also go like gangbusters, but the ride was too soft for my tastes. fwiw I think the road tests in the magazines usually give the 0-60 nod to the S4, but the top end goes to the V8!
