Just curious, but for the same model tire and size, what manufacturing differences are there between, say, an H-rating and a V-rating? Thicker SideWall, softer rubber for better traction, v-rated wears out faster as a result. Which of the extra improvements in V-rated tires benefit handling at speeds below 150 mph? See the above.... Will that $10-20 extra get me better steering response, Yes. Andrew Duane went thru this before, and I've been through it with the old Michelin TRX tires on a mustang GT the original V-rated tires stuck great! The H-rated that I replaced them with at 12k miles squealed and let go much quicker than the v-rated tires... YMMV, :-) linear (predictable) breakaway, etc.? Not Sure. -- Eddi Mike, <---- End Included Message ----> ___________________________ | | | *********************** | I N N CCC A SSSS EEEEE SSSS | ******* _____________ | I NN N C C A A S E S | ****** / ____________ | I N N N C A A SSS EEE SSS | ________/ / ___________ | I N NN C C AAAAAAA S E S | _________/ / __________ | I N N CCC A A SSSS EEEEE SSSS | __________/ / _________ | | ___________/ / ________ | ENGINEERING North America | ____________/ / | | _____________/ ****** | Michael LaRosa | ******* | EDA Technical Support Manager | *********************** | Voice/Fax: 603-881-5392/603-881-5467 --------------------------- E-Mail: mlarosa@interserv.com
