Jim, My 5KCSTQ had a remote detector in it when I bought the car. It is an old Bel, and no longer current, but it works OK. The antenna is mounted by the outside air temp sensor behind the grill just inboard of the left headlight. I have really enjoyed the inconspicuity of the built-in, and will start looking more seriously at new built-in radar detectors. I would love the Valentine One, but it just too much $. I'll probably go for a Bel, since they have great range typically. My 2-band Bel Works great but they don't have Lazer around here, so I am pretty safe around home. Later, Graydon D.
