Grant, (and other Qheads) I recently changed the oil on my new-to-me 5KCSTQ. I sampled the oil adn sent the sample to an oil analysis lab in Atlanta. I had no idea what oil the previous owner used, but I do know he changed it very regularly. The oil came out VERY clean. The lab said there were NO abnormal wear patterns (after 160,000 miles!), the viscosity was about 36 (he probably used 10w40) and they said the oil was most likely dino oil. I changed to Pennzoil synthetic, and will sample again at the next oil change. More to follow in a few months... Later, Graydon D.
