I have heard from a number of sources that this is true.  Supposedly, the 
best case is to use the oil with a very small split between viscos. such 
as 10W30, 20W50 etc.  I have often wondered about the Syntec with it's 
5W50.  I do run the Syntec, but next oil change (soon) I'm either going 
to try the new 10W30 Syntec or some Mobil 1.
