No Subject

I'm afraid my question is none too sophisticated, but I hope someone on
the list can help me out. I just had 15K service done on my S4. Following
the advice some of you posted, I supplied Mobil I, the heaviest weight,
15-50 I think. Anyway, when I got the car home, I checked the dip stick,
and the oil looked very dark. This morning I took it to my local and trusted
mechanic and he said the oil didn't feel dirty or gritty.

Is it unusual for oil to look dirty so soon after a change?
