Max boost with standard turbo?

I have a '90 100 tq with a prom and waste gate spring upgrade giving
around 0.9 - 1.0 bar boost. As everyone knows, power is addictive. I
have heard people running their turbo engines with wround 350
hp:s. How much boost will the standard turbo handle and what happens
if one increases the boost too much? Disintegration? I have also heard
that the injection system of the '90 wont handle as much flow as the
older systems, is this so? How much can one realistically and without
risking the engine increase the boost?
