The auto-check circuit only looks for burnt out lamps by comparing the currents in each leg. so it will not complain. However, if you lose a headlamp, it will not warn you either. You should get a good half volt or so extra on the headlamps, and it makes a noticable difference. Good luck, Alan Cordeiro
