I missed the original of the post that started the above discussion.  I say
an earlier message that said it was about the handle molded into the dash
of Corvettes.  

I distinctly remember reaching for the handle molded into the passanger's side 
dash of my '66; and it was definitely a "Jesus, I better grab hold, this looks
like it's going to be a *bad* one..."-handle.
