Overboost protection

Hello all,
   Has anyone done any experimenting with the Micro Switch pressure 
transducers?  It seems to me that this would be a pretty easy way to
be able to get more boost while still maintaining overboost protection.
   I am pretty nervous about using larger wastegate springs, etc with my
ecu's overboost protection disabled.  If anyone has any comments or 
suggestions, I would like to hear them.  
   Also, does anyone know what the max. safe boost would be?
