TQC springs US vs. Euro (post '83)

Hi Folks,

All this talk about ur-quattro suspension got me thiking...did anyone ever
figure out if there is any difference in the suspension springs between the
post-'83 US and post-'83 euro ur-quattro? To me, both cars look like they 
have the same stance. But a bunch of places offer "European" suspension 
parts for Audis. So can anyone shed some light? 

In a not so related question, can anyone with a 1985 or later ur-quattro 
look at their rear speaker deck and tell me if it has wide, raised stripe
that runs lengthwise (along the centerline of the car) between the speakers?
