Brake cable length???

Just off the phone with Linda, she gives me some interesting info on the
E-Brake cables on my TQ.  One side is about twice the price of the other ($25
for one, $50 for the other)!!  She says they're different.  I'd ordered a set
of cables from NAPA, they were made by Bendix.  Bendix say's they're the same
on both sides, but when they came in they were both a foot too short, so Bendix
doesn't know anything.  I pulled both old cables out of the car, and the
lengths look pretty identical to me.  I sure don't see anything by looking at
the cables that would make one worth more than the other, more importantly I
can't distinguish which one came from what side, so matching up the new one's
should prove interesting.  What gives?  TIA!
