Having had first hand experience with the same water leak symptoms in my 
brand new A4q :-( I think I can help. Apparently the inner door seal that 
prevents water from entering the inside of the car had been improperly 
sealed. This allowed water to run down the window, into the door and then 
to accumulate in the side pocket. Since the car was under warranty, the 
dealer fixed it. I'm sure you can find info in the archives on how to 
disassemble the door and repair it yourself if you are so inclined.
