Use the turn on lead from the head unit to turn the amp on, but get the power from the battery. I do not recall what kind of car we were dealing with here, but if it is under the seat, it is a nice short run. Probably would help - but not that much. A small RF capacitor would help a lot more. Of course, if you are running many watts, and your headlights dim when the bass hits, go for a nice big cap to stiffen the power supply. Put it right next to the amp. brooks
