>Also, no matter where you drive your Audi (!) in New Jersey, you can't >pump your own gas. That's right, the price Tim mentioned is for "full >service" since it's against the law to self-pump in New Jersey. our friends in Orygun have the same "protection" against their own stupidity. but, as with all well-intended laws, there are ways around it :) through a local fuel distributor, the puget sound bmw club got us onto a CFN card-key system. these are card-lock pump systems that network around the country--kinda like atm systems for fuel pumps. they cater primarily to commercial trucks--folks who don't want to carry lots of cash just to pour ... [From a previous life] In the not-too-distant future, expect to see little gizmos you can mount directly on your car (as in, possibly, a small "ring" that mounts around your gas filler tube) that is recognized by the gas station pump: you drive up, fuel up, and drive away -- no cards, no pins, no fuss, no cash; just a monthly bill in the mail. -RDH
