Great Extended Warranty
When I purchased my 80Q in 1990, I bought an extended warranty for $638.00.
It was negotiable and seemed pretty good. The warranty was called
"Value-Guard" and was underwritten by GM. It was for 72 months and 100k
miles. I have used it a few times, and it has more than paid for itself.
The company is prompt and does not hassle you about claims. They have
worked with each dealer I have dealt with, and in fact I will be taking the
car in for "preventative" maintenance before the warranty expires in June.
I will soon call and see if the warranty can be extended, as while I do
like working on my car, I like the dealer working on it more.
