I've stumbled across some information from some old audi shop manuals I
have as they pertain to the quattro transmission. Apparently there are a
few different 5th gear gear sets. One of them is a 27:37 gear set.
Since I am still trying to determine the best/easiest/least costly method
of reducing the engine speed in my 1990 Quattro coupe, I thought that by
replacing the current gear set with this one, I'd achieve what I
want...2640 RPM at 60 MPH.
Does anyone have any experience working on the quattro manual
transmissions at this level?
Thanks in advance for your comments.
