Jerry, My guess is that the idler pulley in combination with oil pressure is causing the oil pump housing to flex away from the block. Remember that the bolt that broke off was holding the pump to the block also. Sorry to say, but I think it'll only get worse. It may take longer, but I strongly suggest you get that broken bolt out of the block and replace it. If you'd like, I could send you the metal brush handle I used to get the bolt out of my block when I did the same thing. It works very well, with no removal of oil pump required.
