I have heard that a common problem with Audi's is a bad pressure release 
valve in the fuel pump which can cause hot restart problems. I have 
(thankfully) not experienced the problem myself, so I am no expert, but 
maybe this helps. I think to fix the problem, you have to remove the pump 
from the gas tank, which is no fun procedure.
