Once the car has been started have you read the ECU trouble codes?  Yopu 
may have a 2113 Hall sensor code meaning that you dist is not timed 
correctly in relation to the timing sensor (2112 Code)  The other thing 
to look for is a vacume leak anywhere in the intake system and make sure 
that all of the engine control devices are getting +12v (Black wire 
w/blue tracer) where they are supposed to.

Above all get a Bently manual.
