Since all manufactors of syth oils say their products are compatable
with conventional oils, therfore using a cleaner is not nesesssarryy!
I've heard both pro and con about engine solvent cleaners. Keep in mind
that a solvent will wash the innerds of your motor with a petrolium
distillate, which thins the oil considerably. Even after removal from
the crankcase, their will remain a small amount of solvent?
Bearings and valves rely on the oils abality to hold up to extreme
pressures. Audi even recommends no more than two bottles of the
Autobahn fuel system additive between oil changes! Aparently
the oil breaks down faster. Food for thought
