 On or Off ...it's the sender

 Long to go on...and reading low even when fully warmed.....
  it was my thermostat last month.

 If fit reads low, put a meat thermometer in the overflow and if
  it is indeed running cool..it's the thermo...jammed open.

 Do the plugs yet Bob?  Tools?
