There are now two stealth Audis in TX. Earlier today, Mitch Loescher and I switched the headlight and grille assemblies in our cars. My 1990 200 now has a Quattro grille and headlights, and his 87 5KQ has 200 turbo lights and grille. NOW try to ID us on the fly as we go past you!!!! Hah!! It will be real fun to confuse dealers, too..... The swap took about two hours, and it was easy. The only real modification required was that the 200 lights have TWO parking lights per side - so he needed to add wires to his existing parking light leads and graft on the lamps which came off my car. I just clipped the extra lights I didn't need - gave them to Mitch - and put heat- shrink over the wires. Next step for me: getting the Quattro euro-headlights stored in my garage re-silvered and replacing the DOT Quattro headlights with them. This will also require some wiring mods, but nothing major. By doing this, we determined that the headlight/parking light/grille openings on the mid-80's thru 1990 5K/100/200 cars are absolutely identical!
