I will henceforth try to adhere to the following policy: exerpt the relevant section(s) of the message, credit the messenger(s) with their entire preferred sign-off(s), if necessary reference other relevant existing messages by name and date rather than including them verbatim, and respond to "personal" (i.e., messages that have diverged from the original topic and relate primarily to the two individuals involved) without CC:ing them to the Q-list. I remember a post about dividing the list into categories...as the traffic here seems to have increased since I signed on, if it continues this way it might become really necessary, but if we try a little harder we should be able to postpone this step. I think that doing that would detract from the freely flowing quality of the posts. I like getting the list posts in one uninterrupted bunch, but you're right, wasting the bandwith is in nobody's best interest. Best Wishes, Alex Kowalski '84 4KQ
