Ian, If my Coupe is any comparison, your sunroof opens even a little farther than mine (by about 1" from an informal fingertip measurement). The Bentley manual DOES go into this, but superfluously (see pg. 60.38). The position microswitches are apparently in the motor/ gearbox assembly. The Bentley Electrical Troubleshooting manual shows a stop switch for "OPEN" and one for "RAISE/LOWER" (see section 60-10). Ray Calvo (porsray@aol.com) 1990 Coupe Quattro In a message dated 96-09-01 20:58:53 EDT, you write: << From: "Duff, Ian" <iduff@charter.com> Date: Sun, 1 Sep 1996 20:49:49 -0400 Subject: 90 CQ Sunroof - Open all the way? Hey, this has been happening to my CQ since I got it, but I *always* forget to ask: how much of your sunroof remains showing after it stops opening? I have about 2.5" of outside/1.5" of headliner showing with no more open action from the motor. It looks as though it should open at least another 1.5", but it doesn't. Mr. Bentley makes no mention of adjustments for wide open, and I can't find reference to any way for it to sense when it is wide (NOT) open. Any ideas? >>
