[Author Prev][Author Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Author Index][Thread Index] selling your 200 (Fletch)
Eric, I agree with all the points in the previous post. Ad's are positive (but truthful). Punch it up. Just as important, isn't there a used car magazine in your neck of the woods? In the first two weeks I had my 4000q for sale, I had signs, on the list, etc. Nothing - nada. I then put it in the "Want Ad Press", the NYC metro 100+page used car weekly. On the firs6t Saturday, I had three people look at my car, and all three made (reasonable) offers. It was gone in hours. Audis in general and Qs in particular are specialty items. Most people dont want ANY car with 100+k miles. Common wisdom is that its DEAD. For most cars, true. You need to find the 1/4 of 1% who know what you have, and want it. They will pay (or you shouldn;t sell). be patient, hit the right magazines, and don;t knock your own car -- that's the buyer's job :-) Dunno about the price. Check the blue book and go a bit high. Any car on thisd list is above-average w/r/t maintenance. Grant
