I strongly suggest good snow tires. I use Pirelli'sm which handle well, but tend to go out of round in the cold :-( It's not a matter of forward traction in a q, rather its a matter of braking, cornering, and rear-end squirrelyness. In my old 4000q, with M+S 195/60-14s, the car was frightening on a little wet snow (better on lots of dry snow, of course). With snows, it was great. I'd go with 185/65-14s as you suggested. In fact, I wish I _had_ them, rather than my 185/55-15s (can you say "bend rims on potholes"?). Grant
