Do wider wheels REALLY change things much!??!

Hi all.

I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you how much I LOVE the Q-List.

Question:
I have a 1990 Coop Kwatrow with the 15" speedline wheels that look Sooooo
cool.  Will I really get ENOUGH of a benefit from going to 16" 225's or can I
just get stickier rubber and cut my losses?  I spoke with a couple of other
Q-folks and they said most of their performance gain came from the suspension
upgrade.  The wheels were not all that noticeable.

Anyone?  Ferris?  Help?
