GM had started with that uv-infrared windscreen stuff in the early 90's.
If you look at a ZR1 close up, there is an odd gold reflection.
Somewhere, upper center, lower center, cant remember, but there is a gap
for use of garage door openers. Its just big enough for a radar
detector. 
The cop-car standby, Caprice, also had this feature. Law enforcement
officers with the cars couldnt figure why the radar gun didnt work from
inside of the car. 

If Audi offers the funky windshield, Id hope they have a gap for garage
door openers!
