Once again check the vacuum before replacing the lifters. I wasted the money 
on new lifters only to find out that it was not them.  
To check this remove the pump and take out the piston that drives the pump.  
Then replace the pump and more than likely it will stop.  If the clacking 
stops than either replace the pump or dont bother.  Many list members do not 
have this anymore and say there is little difference if any. BTDT

Are the valve lifters even truely the problem? my 4000 make way too much 
clicking noise. What exactly is involved with replacving them? How difficult 
is it? need to take it to the Rip-off-mart?(audi-dealer)do it myself? Any 
input is greatly appreciated!!!
