[Author Prev][Author Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Author Index][Thread Index] Clutch Master Cylinder
Well, I'm pleased to confirm that the diagnosis was correct and the master cylinder was the culprit. Dot 4 everywhere. All those with LHD cars - stop what you are doing and give thanks to the Audi gods that you don't have a RHD. It's an absolute _BASTARD_ of a job on a RHD. The official time is apparently 8 to 10 hours. So far, I've got everything dismantled and I'm waiting for the local parts store to reopen on Monday so I can replace the self-locking nuts and some clips. If tedious, still fairly straightforward with no exotic tools required. I'll do a writeup for the UK Club newsletter, since that seems the most appropriate route to reach most RHD owners. -- Phil Payne phil@sievers.com Committee Member, UK Audi [ur-]quattro Owners Club
