Re: Advice

Ray raced a Mitsu Mirage Turbo since 1993......he has done 4 Mt.
Washington Climb's to the Clouds.....won the SSB NARRC and NERRC in SCCA
in 93, tied for first in both in 94 and took a 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd at Mt.
Washington. We have found the Mitsu to be a wonderful car to maintain.
If it is properly maintained it will give a long life. In racing, the
things to watch for are cracking hugs.....typical of FWD and wheel
bearings. We were able to set the turbo to max boost allowable in SCCA
and it gives a lot of low end torque.....the car is remarkably quick.
Parts can be as expensive as the Audi, though body parts are a bit
cheaper. If you get the Mitsu, you will enjoy.....although, we are going
to get our old Capri set up for Mt. Washington next year. The Mitsu is
retired.....just seen too many races....and last year's Mt. Washington
trip into the ditch did too much damage to justify fixing it for the one
