It's nothing really to do with galvanising - Audi has _always_ used a series 
of grounding points around the body.  There's one in the trunk area - just find 
an electrical fitting and follow the brown wire.  It's usually on the left hand 
side of the car against the rear seat bulkhead.  There's another under the fuse 
box, another in the engine compartment, etc.
