Avi - I appreciate your response - don't have time to go into it in detail. Points I would bring up: 1) Does multi-vis therefore have NO advantages? Since I doubt this is the case, what are the ones it does have? 2) Do synthethetic and petro-based multi-vis oils behave any differently in terms of breaking down? (My understanding is that synthetic is slower to lose volatile elements, and is more stable in terms of lasting before it breaks down in viscosity.)
