Huw,

	Your cat and the 02 sensor are covered by a D.O.T mandated warranty for
all vehicles in the USA. It covers your fuel injection and emission related
hardware for 5 years or 50K miles. You did not state what mileage you have.
 Anyway, when I worked for Audi, I saved a lot of people from buying that
infamous $ 700.00 cat. You will have to ask the service manager about this.
If you encounter resistance on this matter, ask to speak with the DSM 
( District Service Manager ) or call the local zone ( Audi area hdqtrs )

	It has been several years since I have wrenched , What is the factory
warranty period for the newer Audi's ??. Is it still 3/50K
