'88 90 5cyl Radiator Fan Problem - SOLVED (I think)

Phantom fan foiled (say that 3 times fast).  It appears the culprit was
the after-run temp sensor that is in the bracket at the rear of the 
valve cover.  Replaced it and now cycles.  However, now each time the
ignition switch is turned on and off (even when cold) the fan will run
at low speed for a while.  Is this normal (I am inclined to think it is).
Anyway, thanks for all the replies...I was running out of things to try.
