I was hoping someone may have any suggestions. My '89 200T has recently started losing power, the turbo seems to boost normally to about 1.2 bar after that you can hear significant blowoff by the wastegate. The engine also seems to surge, or bog down at this point. With 115k mi. on this car is it fair to say that the turbo is dying, or could it simply be the wastegate. If so does anyone know the estimated repair costs for this type of problem??? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
