Finally, WG diaphragm has has a rip :(
After a period of fun time driving my Audi with 1.5-1.6 bar last couple
of weeks. I've finally realized where is that 1.5-1.6 bar came from. I
took the wastegate cap off this morning and found the diaphragm has a rip
on it. I think this is probably the cause that increased the boost on my
Audi, 'cause it used to had 1.4 bar max with the shims.
So, what should I do? I know there is no way that I can get a new
diaphragm. Is there anyway I can lower the boost a little bit? Can I
take the WG spring off?
I really don't want to shorten the life of the auto tranny and experience
the fuel pump cutoff anymore. So, I would really like to have some
assistance on this subject?
