All rather true, about apparently slow Audis. But, wasn't the Euro 200
Turbo the fastest sedan in the *world* at its intro in late '83? 143 mph
was the figure I recall, though here in the US the AT, 140PS model topped
around 125. By '87, my 5000T had a 5-speed, aero lights and 162PS- my
manual says 135. Don't figure that's too shabby. I know top speed has
little relevance, but the fastest is the fastest- and I do believe Audi
held the title now claimed by the M3 4dr once...
