Ben, The one year old 1.8T may be a bit hard to find, but there are other nice quattros available. Almost any one of these would be an almost infinitely superior choice than a Honda (ugh), for crying out loud. In fact, you could probably find a nice early 90s 200TQ and do some performance mods for well within your $18K budget and have cash left over for any possible needed repairs/maintenance for the two years or so while you are here.
