I believe the oil temp sensor (for the oil temp gauge in the center console) is located at the very bottom front of the engine, near the A/C compressor (for the 4Kq/Coupe engines, at least). It is in front of the oil pan, mounting upwards into the engine, and the wire (at least on my car) runs along the oil-pan-to-block mating surface towards the back of the engine. The wire attaches to the sensor with a phillips-head screw (why?), and is covered by a little black boot (seems like the device Glen describes). Later, Eric '85 Coupe GT --- Eric J.
