Good tires for the rain/snow

Ok, so this isn't quite the Audi question. My girlfriend's
accord needs new tires. Anyone have any thoughts on
reasonably priced semi-hi-performance tires that are good in
the rain and snow? Car came with michelins that were
terrible. Local dealer recomends Toyos but I only have
experience with Pirelis P600's and Bridgestone Potenzas,
both of which were also terrible in the rain.
