DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL OR COFFEE (no stimulants or caffeine) ON THE 
OVERNIGHT FLIGHT! (This from an ex-pat Brit who loves his beer!) Dont 
stuff yourself with food. Eat a lightish meal BEFORE you get on the 
plane. Get yourself some ear plugs and ask for an eyeshade for sleeping

Try getting up progressively earlier (1hr each day) and going to bed 
earlier for 3 days before you leave. Drink only water prior to and 
during the flight (no O.J. as it creates mucus, apple juice if you 
must). When you arrive stay up and DONT GO TO BED EARLY. You will crash 
the first night but you will be more "in synch".

I am and have been a regular transatlantic flyer between Chicago, 
London and Frankfurt (over 1.5 million miles on American Airlines 
alone) for 10 years. This is a PROVEN method to keep you at your best 
and enable you to function well when you arrive.

Speckled Hen for me.
