vacation

I'm going to be sort of away the next couple of weeks - my relatives are
visiting from Portugal and I'm going to be a tourist in the USA with
them :).  I will check email as time and wife allow, so be patient if
anything breaks.

At the same time, I hope to have some time to mull over the future of the list,
or rather, what form the future will take - I have no plans to can the list,
unless the engineer thread reappears.
