86' CGT Alternator

Sorry for the crazy inserted characters but my system
administrator refuses to fix the problem. My brother's CGT
had major starting / charging problems. The garage replaced
the alternator with no results. Turned out to be a short in a
wire that signals to the alternator to charge the battery. The
alternator always thought the battery was charged. Not
having been there when they diagnosed it I can't say more,
but that's what they told him.
