checking the resistor pack

Hi,

Sorry if this a repeat but I got a mail stating that my original
post had bounced and that I should repost it. So here goes,

My fresh air blower works only on the highest speed (4). Does 
nothing on speed settings 1,2,3. One of the listers had suggested
checking the resistor pack behind the glove box. SO I got the
glove box out but do not see anything that I would
recognize as a resistor pack (MY experience with cars is minimal)
The only thing that resembles the sole picture in the Bentley's
is a metallic plate with some kind of plastic connector on it.
I was wondering if someone on the list could help identify the
resistor pack and how it can be tested.
