I just returned from running the input tests. No codes!
So, the earlier knock sensor code I got was indeed from a
glitch in the sensor lead wire running back to the connector
(which *temporarily* I fixed when I rearranged them a bit).

I'll need to address this in the near future.

But next, maybe today, I'll remove the EPROM and 
install a socket.

The saga continues...
