Well, here's some anecdotal information for you all:
2 cars ago: 1984 Rabbit Diesel, dino juice 20-50 Castrol, Mobil 15-50 when
I felt like it, got rid of car with 243K miles..engine ran great
FRAM filters always, changed every 4-5K miles
1 car ago: 1987 Audi 5000s, dino juice 20-50 Castrol Spring, Summer, Fall,
changed every 4K, Mobil 1 15-50 in Winter changed every 5K-6K
FRAM filters always, unloaded car at 240K+, engine ran same as it did
when I got it at 70K, ran Slick 50 snake oil every 50K for grins.
Current Car: 1990 90Q20v, Staight Mobil 1 15w-50 all the time, change every
4-6K miles, Mahle Filters always, no snake oil
