RE: SP8000s and snow

In general, all wide tahrs are terrible in the sno, period.
Take a squint at a well set-up plow truck, you'll see very
narrow, tall, high-profile tahrs. It might seem illogical,
but you want the smallest possible footprint to cut
through the sno as best as possible, not wide to try to
float on top of the sno. Narrow high-profile tahrs also
present less resistance to forward/backward
movement through the sno and nice tall ones give you
higher ground (sno :) clearance. All strictly IMFO.
